These terms are meant to be clear. They explain what you can expect from Marklet and what we ask of you. By downloading, buying, or using Marklet, you agree to them.

Your work stays yours

You keep every right to the documents you create or edit with Marklet. Marklet does not claim ownership of your writing, code, images, or other work.

Using Marklet

You may use Marklet for personal, educational, or commercial work on Macs you own or control. If a purchase has a device or user limit, that limit will be shown before checkout.

Please do not resell or redistribute Marklet, share a paid license key, bypass license checks, or use Marklet unlawfully. Nothing in these terms limits rights that applicable law gives you.

Your files and backups

Marklet edits ordinary Markdown files in locations you choose. You are responsible for keeping backups of important files. Marklet does not upload your documents. See the privacy policy for details.

Purchases and refunds

Purchases and downloads from the Mac App Store are handled by Apple and covered by Apple’s standard license agreement and purchase rules. Apple will show the price, taxes, and license details before you confirm a purchase.

If something goes wrong with a purchase, email us. We will try to resolve it fairly and will honor any refund or consumer right required by law. These terms do not remove legal protections available where you live.

Updates and support

We may improve, change, or remove Marklet features over time. We aim to keep your Markdown files portable and readable. Support is available through the channels on the support page, but we cannot promise a particular response time or that every requested feature will be added.

Reliability and responsibility

We take reasonable care with Marklet, but no software can be guaranteed free of mistakes. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses or losses we could not reasonably foresee. We do not exclude any responsibility that the law does not allow us to exclude.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we will update the date above. New terms apply going forward. They will not take away rights from a completed purchase unless the law requires it or you agree.
